29th November 2006
Windsurfing: Rhosneigr
Wind Direction: SW
Wind Stength: F6
Surf / Sea State: Head high
Air Temperature: 11
Sea Temperature: OK
Weather: Sun then cloud
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Wind had swung round a little from the forecast the day before, so it was more cross-on than cross shore, but still an excellent direction for Rhossy. A few lulls at first but 4.7m was perfect with 90 litres. As the holes filled in I wacked on more outhaul and later as the wind increased a little I changed down to the JP 69. This board is perfect so long as the wind is up, does not get blown about, soft landings but recovers quickly and just cuts through the chop - even made a gybe on the outside. Eventually felt a little overpowered - pulled on more downhaul - head very floppy and 3rd batten stating to fall away, but it really reduced the power and still felt good. The Combat seems to be very tuneable.

Very few people out - 4 or 5 max at any one time - the run of windy weather has probably used up everone's suppply of days off / excuses.

An almost perfect session
